Reporting vs Tattling
My 5 year old came home the other day with a worksheet that she are her fellow kindergarten peeps had to complete in class. It’s on the difference between ‘reporting’ and ‘tattling’. I thought it was interesting. First, the sheet gives a description of each and then asks you to apply it to different cases.
Here’s the description:
Tattletales tell because they (a) want to get someone into trouble and (b) want attention for themselves
Reporters tell because (a) something is being damaged and (b) a person is, or will be, hurt
